This is a journal of my experience of ‘Reverse Dieting’. For years, I have been cycling restrictive dieting and binge eating and it is time for this to change! I am always cold, my libido has evaporated and my strength in the gym has decreased.
If you are wondering what on earth ‘Reverse Dieting’ is: in short, it’s a controlled, slow increase in daily calorie consumption without gaining body fat. When you are highly restrictive with your calories for an extended period of times, you most likely will lose weight but this weight loss will be paired with a slower metabolic rate. My goal is to eat more to help restore my metabolic rate and hormones.
